Artist uses mirrors to make a desert cabin blend in to the surroundings

Artist Phillip K Smith III used in his outdoor installation “Lucid Stead” mirrored panels to make a 70-year-old cabin in California’s Mojave Desert blend in to the beautiful surroundings.

The mirrored panels partially cover the building’s exterior walls, as well as the windows and doorway during the day. At night, the cabin comes to life with help from LEDs and glows in shifting colors.
